Working in partnership with WebsiteDesign4Dorset Graphfix was asked to create an eye catching new website layout design for Cedar Organic’s. Cedar organic’s use their website to promote the farm’s sales of beef, lamb and other products and – in normal times – to promote farm visits and support for organic farming.
The existing Cedar Organic website was several years old and was felt by the client to be missing many of the features associated with a modern website. They also felt the green look and feel to now look a little tired and dated.
The new layout was required to be clean, simple, modern but still give a friendly and personable feel. The farm is owned by Dan, Claire and Andrew and they wanted their personal approach and personalities to show through in the design.
Graphfix felt that the site needed to lead with the Farm’s unique selling point, it’s great tasting organically farmed meat products. Taking example from the modern friendly, funky food sites rather than leading with the farm itself as the existing site had done before. This is the layout design that was produced from the brief provided. Also included on the footer design was the silhouettes of Corfe Castle and Durdle Door, well known feature locations within the vicinity of the farm’s location.
