Starting fresh: My journey and a new chapter for Graphfix

Hello, I’m excited to share a bit of personal news, and how it’s leading to an exciting new direction for Graphfix.

Until recently I was working as a website designer for a business-start-up called Loose Connections. That business has decided to pivot away from website design and refocus on selling SEO and PPC advertising instead, which means they no longer require my role. Being made redundant was a surprise, but it also created an unexpected opportunity: the chance to fully commit to growing Graphfix.

For those who don’t already know, Graphfix is my studio based in Broadstone / Poole / Dorset — the place I founded after more than 20 years in the web and graphic design industry. With a BSc(Hons) in Media Lab Arts from the University of Plymouth and a background in agencies such as WebsiteDesign4Dorset, I’ve always loved working with businesses to create websites, logos, stationery, social-media graphics and more.

Why this matters to you

What this change means is simple: I can now give Graphfix 100% focus. That means:

  • Quicker turnaround on design projects.
  • More availability to work with local Dorset businesses or clients further afield.
  • Renewed enthusiasm and energy for every website, logo or print design project.
  • The chance to broaden services and potentially explore new areas (keep an eye out for that!).

What Graphfix offers

At Graphfix we provide:

  • Custom website design (WordPress, responsive, built to be updated by you).
  • Logo design and brand identity (I often start by understanding your business + market).
  • Print and stationery design (business cards, letterheads, brochures) to give your business a full visual identity.

My promise to you

I know that when you choose a designer you’re investing not just money, but trust. You’re handing over your brand’s image, your website’s presence, your first impression. Here’s what working with me means:

  • Clear communication throughout.
  • Designs tailored to your business, not “template-fits-all”.
  • Ownership: you’ll own your logo, you’ll own your website (no hidden strings).
  • A studio that cares: I believe that when your business grows, we both win.

Let’s start something great

If you’ve been thinking about a new website, or your brand identity feels tired and in need of a refresh, now is a great time to chat. I’d love to hear where you’re at, what the next 12 months look like for your business, and how we might work together.

Thank you for reading this update — I’m genuinely excited for what’s ahead and hope you’ll be part of the journey.

Warm regards,
Michelle
